მარიამ კოსტავა 11 წლის ქართველი ემიგრანტია, რომელიც დაიბადა და ამჟამად ცხოვრობს იტალიაში. მიუხედავად იმისა, რომ უცხო ქვეყანაში გაიზარდა, მარიამი მშვენივრად ფლობს ქართულ ენას და ღრმად არის დაკავშირებული თავის ფესვებთან.
„ჩემი ოცნებაა გავხდე წარმატებული მოდელი,“ — ამბობს მარიამი და ამ მიზნისკენ თავდაუზოგავად მიდის. თავისუფალ დროს ოჯახთან, მეგობრებთან და წიგნებთან ატარებს — სწავლობს, კითხულობს და ცდილობს საკუთარ შესაძლებლობებში მეტად დაიჯეროს.
მარიამის ოჯახი წლებია ემიგრაციაში იმყოფება, თუმცა ქართული იდენტობა, კულტურა და ფასეულობები მყარად აქვთ შენარჩუნებული. ოჯახში ქართული ენა, ტრადიციები, სიმღერები და ღირებულებები ისეთივე ცოცხალია, როგორც საქართველოში. მარიამი ამაყობს თავისი წარმოშობით და სურს მომავალშიც საქართველოს ღირსეული ელჩი იყოს უცხოეთში.
სწორედ ამ ღირებულებებზე დაყრდნობით აირჩია მარიამმა საკუთარი გზა და პირველივე ნაბიჯები სამოდელო სამყაროში დიდი ენთუზიაზმით გადადგა.
პირველი მნიშვნელოვანი ნაბიჯი სამოდელო სააგენტო „Catrine“-თან ერთად დაიწყო:

Mariam Kostava — A Young Georgian Star Rising from the Diaspora
Mariam Kostava is an 11-year-old Georgian girl who was born and currently lives in Italy. Although she was raised abroad, Mariam speaks fluent Georgian and remains deeply connected to her roots.
“My dream is to become a successful model,” says Mariam — a goal she pursues with great dedication and enthusiasm. In her free time, she enjoys reading, studying, and spending time with her family and friends, always striving to believe more in herself and her potential.
Mariam’s family has been living abroad for years, yet they have managed to preserve their strong Georgian identity, culture, and values. At home, the Georgian language, traditions, music, and spirit are alive — just as they are in Georgia itself. Mariam takes pride in her origins and hopes to be a true ambassador of her homeland wherever life takes her.
It is upon these values that Mariam began her journey and took her very first steps into the world of fashion — with energy, courage, and hope.
Her first big opportunity came through the modeling agency Catrine, which helped bring her dream to life.
“The agency gave me a goal and made it possible for my dream to become real. My first show, held in Rome at the historic Palazzo Brancaccio, was very emotional — I was nervous, but the warm and welcoming environment made all my fear disappear,” she recalls.
Palazzo Brancaccio is one of Rome’s most elegant and historic villas, built in the 19th century for Italian aristocracy. It was in this regal and symbolic space that Mariam took her very first steps on a runway — and the grandeur of the venue gave even more meaning to her debut.
During this show, Mariam wore a beautiful design by Anastasia Bakuradze, a Georgian fashion designer.
“Wearing that dress felt like stepping into a fairy tale — I truly felt like a princess,” Mariam says with a smile.
She expresses special gratitude to Mrs. Eka Mgaloblishvili — a Georgian professional whose mission is to open doors to the international fashion world for Georgian children, both abroad and in Georgia.
Mrs. Eka has been working successfully across many countries for years, tirelessly helping to ensure that Georgian talent is seen and celebrated worldwide.
To Mariam, she is more than just a mentor — she is an inspiring example that Georgian identity knows no borders or boundaries.
Today, Mariam is preparing for her next big challenge — she has been invited to participate in the prestigious international competition Little Miss & Mister United World 2025 in Dubai, marking a whole new chapter in her young modeling career.
